Some 200 students from the Law School of China Women's University (CWU) participated in a series of activities on December 4, which were co-sponsored by Law Education in Beijing and Beijing Justice Bureau.

The activities aimed to raise the public's awareness of different laws and mark the third National Constitution Day. The theme of this year's Constitution Day is "Promoting Constitutional Spirit and Boosting Innovative, Open, Ecological and Harmonious Development".

On behalf of the university, staff of the Youth Captain Group in CWU organized lessons for primary school students on legal knowledge concerning safety and self-protection.

The Youth Captain activity was organized for law school students from different universities to popularize the subject. CWU Law School was responsible for carrying forward the constitutional spirit and teaching primary school students how to protect themselves from sexual abuse and campus violence.

In the last two years, CWU group members participated in more than 20 activities at primary and secondary schools and in different communities.

During the opening ceremony, the organizers evaluated the full support of CWU Law School, fully affirmed its achievements and encouraged staff to work harder and make a greater contribution.

The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress designated December 4 as National Constitution Day in 2014, in order to inspire the public to become more familiar with the country's supreme law and carry forward the spirit of the Constitution.
