CWU Invites Gao Wanhong to Social Work Seminar
The Education Center for Masters of Social Work invited Gao Wanhong, a professor from the College of Public Management at Yunnan University, to give a special report on the "Advantages of Social Work Services for Left-behind Children in Rural Areas" at China Women's University (CWU).
According to her academic and practical experiences, Gao introduced the living status of left-behind children and highlighted the advantages of social work services for left-behind children.
During the event, Gao summarized the professional knowledge and subject system of the MSW and put forward several suggestions on how to be a qualified social worker.
Participants spoke highly of Gao's speech and said that there is still a long way to go to be a professional social worker, but they will strive to acquire the appropriate expertise and contribute to social development in the future.
The seminar paved the way for further cooperation and laid a solid foundation for the assessment of a professional master's pilot project. It will also improve CWU's influence in the social work profession and contribute to the progress of the social work specialty, organizers said.
