 January 6, 2017

The Graduate Office of China Women's University (CWU), along with the Education Center for Masters in Social Work (MSW), organized a training class on December 15 for all MSW tutors.

Organizers invited Zhao Fang, professor of social work in the School of Social Development and Public Policy of Fudan University, to give a lecture on the postgraduate curriculum.

During the training class, Zhao summarized the professional knowledge, subject system and application strategy of the Social Work Specialty for all participants. She also outlined the background, meaning, research methods and basic framework of the postgraduate curriculum.

At the end of the speech, Zhao shared her theoretical and practical experiences and put forward her suggestions for teaching methods, evoking trainees' great interest in case analysis and pedagogical practice.

Participants highly affirmed Zhao's speech at the training class and hoped that the education center could organize more activities concerning talent cultivation and teaching methods.

The activity further improved the university's influence in the social work profession and set a new goal for the social work faculty to contribute to the development of the social work specialty, organizers said.

Some teachers from the Social Work Faculty, Law School and Child Development and Education School also took part in the event.
