CWU Organizes Training Course for Probationary Member

 January 12, 2017

The Organization Department of the Party Committee of China Women's University (CWU) held a training course for probationary Party members on December 10.

Some 100 probationary members from different amateur Party schools in Beijing participated in the event, which aimed to carry forward the spirit of the Red Army's Long March, push strict Party management and cultivate more qualified Party members.

On the first day, the participants came to the China National Museum of Women and Children and visited an exhibition themed "Everlasting Female Red Army Soldiers: Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Long March".

The exhibition, supported by the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage (SACH), presents the stories of over 80 female Red Army soldiers through photos, illustrations and historical artifacts.

The trainees learned about the historical contributions and achievements made by female Red Army soldiers and said that they were impressed by the female soldiers' bravery, solidarity, optimism and strong will. As probationary Party members, they will unite closely under the leadership of the Central Party Committee headed by President Xi Jinping and carry on the spirit of the Long March in the course of realizing the Chinese dream of national rejuvenation.

Zhang Yong, an associate professor from Beijing Municipal Party School, was invited to give a lecture on President Xi's remarks at the 6th Plenary Session of the CPC Central Committee.

Zhang talked about his understanding of President Xi's keynote speeches and highlighted two documents on discipline as approved by senior Party leaders at the session, including specifications on the "norms of political life within the Party under the new situation," and a regulation on "intra-Party supervision".

Ren Cuiru, secretary of the Organization Department of CWU's Party Committee, concluded the activity by saying: "The two Party disciplines issued at the 6th plenary session stressed strict Party governance, marking another milestone in CPC's history. This milestone has occurred with historic timing to coincide with events celebrating the 95th founding anniversary of the CPC and the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Long March."

Party members at all levels should act consistently to follow the leadership of the CPC Central Committee and fully study the keynote speeches given at the 6th plenary session as a primary political task, Ren added.

Party members are also expected to strengthen and regulate intra-Party political life, firmly follow what the CPC Central Committee advocates, implement what the CPC Central Committee decides and build a clean and righteous political and academic environment, organizers said.
