CWU Trade Union Holds Seminar for Retirees

Trade Union of China Women's University (CWU) held a symposium for retirees on January 12. 

Li Mingshun, chairperson of CWU Council, Liu Qinghua, deputy secretary of CWU Party Committee, presidents and committee members of Trade Union Branches, directors from the Office for the Affairs of Retired Workers and all 2016 retirees participated in the event, which was presided over by Zhao Yanping, executive vice-president of the Trade Union.

On behalf of CWU leaders, Li expressed his sincere thanks to senior educators and said that the university could not have achieved such accomplishments without the efforts of teachers. 

Senior educators dedicated their youth and intelligence to the university. Their conscientiousness and selfless contribution are valuable spiritual treasures in promoting the university’s development and innovation. 

Li hoped that retirees would continuously care about and support the university's construction, and offer advice and suggestions to CWU.

During the gathering, retirees shared their own feelings and experiences, reviewed their decades at the university and plans for retirement. They also declared that they are willing to continue to service the university and contribute to its development.

Focused on this year's work, Li emphasized that Union cadres should help strengthen leadership of the Party, make clear core services, protect the legitimate rights and interests of members, improve the effectiveness of the Trade Union and help it continue to play its role as bridge.

At the end of the seminar, CWU leaders issued certificates to all retirees.
