CWU Holds Symposium on Evaluation Work

 March 18, 2017

China Women's University (CWU) held its fourth working conference on the rectification planning of evaluation work on March 3.

Deputy team leaders of different project groups and members of the Quality Supervision Department (QSD) participated in the event, which was presided over by CWU Vice-President Wang Lian.

Chen Lan, deputy director of the QSD and the Teaching Affairs Office, introduced the specific work and matters to which should be paid special attention.

In the last semester, the first draft of the self-evaluation report was completed. Relevant departments invited experts from other universities to examine CWU's evaluation work. Different schools and departments carried out self-assessments and received school-level inspections, Chen said.

Focusing on the university's preparation and implementation details, Chen introduced the form of examination, the methods used to complete the summary report and self-assessment report on undergraduate education, and methods to concisely sum up the university’s characteristics.

The priorities will be carried out by formulating and implementing the remediation programs, further refining the self-assessment system and editing preconditioning and supporting materials, Chen added.

Each team leader in attendance introduced the status of their evaluation work and auditing reports, and pointed out difficulties in the implementation process. They also shared their opinions on talent cultivation planning, teaching resources optimization and the construction of a quality assurance system.

Wang expressed her opinion that relevant departments should correctly handle the relationship between self-defined standards and unified standards, keep a moderate margin to face upcoming challenges and maintain the continuity of preparation before and reform after inspection.
