CWU Student Wins 'Peace Ambassador' Title

The 12th National University Peace Ambassadors Final was held at Zhuhai TV Station on March 18. Shi Xinliang, a student from the Broadcasting and Hosting Department at China Women's University (CWU), won the title of "Love Ambassador" at the ceremony.

Some 39 students from different universities across the country participated in the event. As the bronze winner of the Beijing area, Shi showed a certain elegance and good manner during the competition.

Through several rounds of talent shows, academic dress and evening dress demonstration, quiz show and one minute's free talk of peace and freedom, Shi won the title of "Love Ambassador" and became one of the top ten peace ambassadors.

Shi will visit the countries along the Maritime Silk Route together with other peace ambassadors, in order to carry forward traditional Chinese culture and expand the concept of peace.

The event was co-sponsored by China's International Cultural Industries Fair, Chinese Culture Promotion Society and China Social Welfare Foundation. Themed on "Spreading Traditional Chinese Culture, Promoting World Peace", the activity has become a well-known charitable brand in Chinese higher institutes.
