CWU Subsidiary Kindergarten Kids Visit Women and Gender Library
Some 60 children from the subsidiary kindergarten of China Women's University (CWU) visited CWU's Women and Gender Library on March 24.
The librarians introduced the library's development history, books collection and instructions visitors should accept.
Under the guidance of the staff members, children visited the newspaper reading area, multimedia reading area and seminar room. During the visit, the librarians patiently answered children's questions and taught them how to borrow and return books.
The children listened carefully to the teachers' explanation and recorded what they saw and heard scrupulously. After the visit, the children put forward all sorts of questions concerning the library and got positive responses.
CWU is committed to preserving human cultural heritage, carrying out social educational practices and carrying forward human culture. A book is like a seed of hope, the organizers said, hoping that the event could inspire students' enthusiasm in study and spread the power of reading in the depth of children's souls.
Even in the slight spring chill and light rain in March in Beijing, the children felt the warmth of books.
