CWU Team Gain Awards in the 55th Capital College Track and Field Athletics in Beijing

The 55th Capital College Track and Field Athletics sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and The Track and Field Branch Commission in Beijing Municipal Federation of College Sports was hosted by Beijing Institute of Technology (Zhongguancun Campus) on May 25th to 28th. The team from our college won first place in the 1500 meters and 5000 meters events, two third places and another 16 students got into the top eight, and won the seventh place in the women's B group and a moral fashion award.

The Games have nearly 2000 athletes from 70 universities competing in 115 sports. Party secretary of the Communist Party Community at CWU, Liu Qinghua lead the team to attend the grand opening ceremony, and cheered for the athletes from our school.
It is delightful to see athletes achieve such a satisfying result. Athletics is the largest and highest standard sports event in colleges and universities in Beijing. It is not only a venue for competitive sports, but also a grand stage of sports education in universities in Beijing. The results obtained would not have been without the full support of school leaders of CWU. We will continue our efforts to forge ahead with school evaluation work, and be devoted to the development of our university.
