CWU Holds Training Session for MSW Tutors

 

The Graduate Office of China Women's University (CWU) organized a training session in April for all its tutors of Masters in Social Work (MSW), along with the Education Center for MSW.

Teachers from the School of Social Work, the School of Law and the School of Children's Development and Education took part in the activity, which was presided over by Jiao Yang, director of the Graduate Office.

CWU Vice-President Liu Meng was invited to give a speech at the event. Liu summarized the professional knowledge, subject system and application strategy of the Social Work Specialty for all participants. She also outlined the background, meaning, research methods and basic framework of the postgraduate curriculum.

The talent cultivation planning of the MSW should be based on the professionalism, normalization and the systematic construction of postgraduate education, Jiao said and hoped the trainees could focus on women and children's development, make the most of their professional knowledge and earnestly push the university's talent cultivation work to a new level.

At the end of the speech, Jiao shared her theoretical and practical experiences and put forward her suggestions for teaching methods, evoking trainees' great interest in case analysis and pedagogical practice. 

Participants spoke highly of Jiao and Liu's speeches at the training class and said that there is still a long way to go to be a qualified tutor, but they will try their best to make contributions to cultivating more MSW talents for the university in the future.
