CWU Holds 6th Awards Ceremony of 'Campus Star'
China Women's University (CWU) held an awards ceremony for its 6th "Campus Star" competition on May 9 at their auditorium. Chen Lijun, deputy director of the Student Affairs Office attended the ceremony and made a keynote speech.
The ceremony gave a review of the various and colorful cultural campus activities held during the 6th "Campus Star" competition, with a focus on the process of publicizing, nominating and electing the Campus Stars.
Through the hosts' passionate and moving speeches while the awards were presented, the attendees understood the winners' deeds of striving for a noble personality with every small detail in their daily life.
A total of 30 students got the title of "Virtuous Star", "Erudite Star", "Innovative Star", "Elegant Star" and "Sports Star" respectively after several rounds of selection.
The winning representative made a speech on behalf of all the team members in plain but sincere words, calling upon all people present to struggle forward and achieve more.
Whenever an award was presented, the winners were hailed with warm and long-lasting applause, a reflection of the audiences' appreciation and praise for their steadfast pursuit of "the true, the good and the lofty".
The activity of seeking the "Campus Star" reflected the pursuits of CWU students for constant progress. It honored a batch of model groups and individuals, encouraging everyone to learn from them and strive to be excellent female talents with the characteristics of self-esteem, self-confidence, self-reliance and self-improvement. These future female talents will work hard for the wealth of the country, the rejuvenation of the nation and the realization of the Chinese dream.
Chen congratulated all the winners and sincerely thanked relevant teachers and judges for their great efforts. She hoped all the students could look for a role model at the campus, set an example for modern female talents, further form a good learning style and motivate the vitality of the campus.
