CWU Teachers' Ethics Raised During Summer Vacation

Some 40 teachers from China Women's University (CWU) recently visited Dabieshan Executive Leadership Academy (DELA), where they participated in a social practice activity.

The event, which lasted from July 9-13, was co-sponsored by the CWU's Trade Union, Publicity Department and Teaching Affairs Office.

Dabie Mountains are one of China's holy places of revolution, as famous as Taihang and Jinggang Mountains. The Dabie Mountains are a major mountain range located in central China.

The range is the second largest revolutionary base during the period of China's Agrarian Revolutionary War, also the central region of Hubei, Henan and Anhui's Revolutionary Base.

The DELA is a provincial training base for teaching cadres. It aims to carry out revolutionary tradition education, improve teachers' Party spirit and confirm their ideals and beliefs.

The trainees adapted quickly to the group life, strictly obeyed all the disciplines and participated in the training courses on time.

Teachers visited the revolutionary museum of the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet area and learned the history of the Soviet revolution. They were all moved by the former revolutionaries' noble spirits, resolve and firm belief in the motherland.

Along the way, the trainees visited Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Revolutionary Martyr Cemetery and laid wreaths at the war memorial.

They also visited the Red Cultural Park and learned the war history of the Red Fourth Army, Twenty-fifth Force of the Red Army, Twenty-eighth Force of the Red Army and the Red Army on Western Front. They walked on the road which was used to deliver revolutionary ides of the Red Army, and recalled the memorable years in which the early Communists fought for the revolution in arduous environments.

Afterwards, the trainees visited Deng Yingchao's ancestral home, reviewed the revolutionary spirit of Deng and her great efforts for Chinese women's cause, and presented flowers to Deng's statue.

CWU attaches great importance to its teachers' moral constitution and pays much attention to teachers' social practices. The event aimed to carry out the spirit of President Xi Jinping's speeches made at the conference of Ideological and Political Work, and forge a high-level teaching force with solid political quality.

The teachers strengthened their ideals and beliefs, enhanced their pioneering courage to innovate and confidence to win. They all said that they would carry forward the spirit of the Red Army, do their own jobs well and contribute to the development of the school in future.

The lessons were an important measure of CWU's teacher's social practice and the institution's methods to promote the development of its teachers. The trainees will internalize the Red Army spirit into a powerful spiritual motivation and conscious action, and strengthen self-discipline in their daily lives.
