CWU Holds Farewell Party for Volunteers to Serve the West

China Women's University (CWU) held a farewell meeting recently for students who will leave to serve the west of China. Liu Qinghua, deputy secretary of CWU's Communist Party Committee, participated in the event and made a speech.

Relevant teachers, counselors, and Party Branch secretaries from different schools and departments also participated in the event, which was presided over by Chen Lijun, deputy director of the Student Affairs Office.

Chen announced that two CWU students were recruited as civil servants this year and some 6 students will serve as volunteers in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Tibet Autonomous Region.

The students sincerely thanked teachers for teaching them knowledge and professional skills and making them have a sense of service, and the university for its cultivation. They also committed to serving the grassroots regions, converting professional ideas into service capability and fulfilling their own values.

The school leaders hoped that the young people could improve their working ability, raise their self-protection awareness, keep in good spirits and delicate themselves to their work wholeheartedly. The students should also bear hardships, make positive adjustments and integrate themselves into new environments as quickly as possible.
