CWU Students Win Prizes at Beijing's 'Challenge Cup'
The results of the 9th Beijing Undergraduate Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Contest were unveiled in August. Some 9 pieces from China Women's University (CWU) won prizes at the event, including Gao Ting's "Survey on Grandparents and Parents' Educational Consistency" and Zhao Xinhui's "Research on the Impact of Legal Factors on Campus Violence".
The Communist Youth League Committee (CYLC) has motivated students initiatives, made detailed arrangements and selected students' works scientifically. CWU's 8th "Challenge Cup" which was held in May received support from the General Party Branches and attracted a total of 67 extracurricular academic science and technology works from different schools and departments.
In order to ensure the quantity and quality of those works, the CYLC invited professionals in different academic fields of the university. Adhering to the principle of fairness, openness and impartiality, the judges adopted a multi-angle investigation method and diversified assessment method, and finally selected 21 outstanding works to participate in the Beijing Municipal contest.
The CYLC will summarize experiences, make the most of professional resources and actively guide students to combine professional learning, academic research, scientific practice and career planning. It will also reinforce teaching mechanisms, stimulate students' enthusiasm in technological innovation and offer a broader platform for students.
