CWU Starts 2017 Freshman Registration
China Women's University (CWU) welcomed a new batch of students on September 12.
Real-time Update of Dynamic Data
CWU introduced information technology to freshman orientation for the first time and helped students to register, pay fees and choose dormitories in a digital way. Freshmen can register their personal information, pay tuition fees, apply for admission and choose dorms via their mobile phones and laptops.
The digital system can automatically generate students' number, personal payment situation, the university's arrangements for students’ orientation and the basic situation of the university's surroundings.
The system not only simplified the working process, covered the overall situation of freshmen's payment, but also brought a fresh experience for them.
Student-oriented Arrangement
Different departments and schools worked closely to ensure the enrollment was carried out in an orderly manner. The Student Affairs Office opened a "green path" and a consultation service center for the freshmen. All the teachers handled the students' affairs effectively and answered questions with patience.
Humanistic Care from the School Leaders
Li Mingshun, secretary of CWU Party Committee, and CWU Vice-Presidents Liu Meng and Sun Jianbei came to the scene of enrollment, visited the working staff and had cordial talks with the freshmen. Leaders also communicated with the students on their family situation and provided "Love Packages" for poverty-stricken students.
Considerate Service
The organizers arranged over 50 free shuttles to different branch campuses and set up special rest areas for students and parents. In order to make accommodation environment and occupancy optimum, relevant staff from the north campus, the Higher Vocational Department and the campus in Fangshan District of Beijing cleaned the dormitories thoroughly.
Afterwards, the organizers held a plenary meeting for all the new students and arranged relevant work follow-up.
The new students have brought fresh energy and blood to CWU, and they will begin their wonderful university lives. All CWU members wish them a brilliant future at the institution.
