CWU Red Sail Choir Performs at China-Arab Women's Forum

 

The second China-Arab Women's Forum was successfully held on September 19 in Beijing. Liu Meng, Vice-President of China Women's University (CWU), participated in event on behalf of the university.

The forum was initiated by the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) to implement the 2016-2018 Action Plan of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum and to promote women's communication and cooperation under the new circumstances.

A total of 150 delegates participated in the gathering, including leaders from relevant countries' women's organizations, directors of women's affairs offices of the Arab League, representatives from academic and business circles, as well as delegates from the Arab Countries' embassies and Arab Agencies in China.

The forum comprised of three themed sessions: "Women's Empowerment and Policy Support", "Women's Contribution to the Building of the Belt and Road", "Women and Cultural Heritage".

 

CWU Red Sail Choir Performs at China-Arab Women's Forum

 

The CWU Red Sail Choir was invited to the event and performed several songs, including Colorful Frog, Big Fish and The Future in the Moonlight. The choir's exquisite performance and strong artistic appeal impressed the audiences and were highly praised.

The Red Sail Choir was initiated by Duan Boyi, an outstanding youth composer and conductor in China. It continuously follows the principle of "Giving, Understanding, and Inheritance". It has transmitted compassion through music, and its members have won five top prizes in international competitions so far.
