CWU School of Social Work Holds Reception for Alumni
The School of Social Work at China Women's University (CWU) held a reception on October 27, for alumni who graduated in 1997 and 2007 to share their campus and work experience.
The memories of alumni were taken back to their familiar campus life while hearing a roll call at the reception. Qi Xiaoyu, secretary of the Party General Branch of the School of Social Work, gave a welcoming speech at the beginning of the event.
Zhu Dongwu, former dean of the School of Gender and Social Development, was named as representative of class advisers for this special reunited family. In his speech, Zhu reviewed the history of the CWU and the School of Social Work, as well as current structures of departments.
At the reception, alumni representatives Huang Jianping, who graduated in 1997, and Guo Jin, who graduated in 2007, shared their growth experiences and showed old photos via PowerPoint, telling stories and memories of their campus life and expressing their appreciation for their university.
Alumni put forward constructive suggestions for the development of the school, combined with their own learning and work experiences, and representatives presented gifts to the school at the end of the three-hour reception.
Alumni also visited the campus, history museum and library under the guidance of student volunteers after the reception, promising to contribute more efforts to the future development of the CWU.
