CWU Holds Group Gymnastics Contest for Teaching Staff

On the occasion of the convening of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the trade unions of China Women's University (CWU) held a group gymnastics contest for all teaching staff on October 17.

Liu Liqun, president of CWU, gave a speech at the opening ceremony. She pointed out that the university has always attached great importance to the mass sports and the contest was to let the concept of fitness be deeply rooted in every participants' mind, with a view to dedicating themselves to their careers in education, especially for the upcoming inspection and evaluation work, with a new outlook.

Liu also encouraged all contestants to establish a healthy concept of fitness and carry forward the spirit of devotion, so as to make full preparations for the approaching evaluation work.

Afterwards, all teaching staff took part in the workout gymnastics competition.

Li Mingshun, secretary of CWU Party Committee, announced the start of the contest.

Staff took part in the group gymnastics competition with several trade union branches.

Through a fierce contest, the joint group of the Party and the mass work and the School of Management branch took first prize, followed by the School of Public Education, School of Education and the Center for Modern Educational Technology. The Division of Educational Administration, Division of Logistics and State-owned Assets, Department of Computer, Office of Administrative Affairs and Division of International Education ranked third in the competition. The rest of the contest groups won organizational awards.
