CWU Holds 8th Senior Training Class for Young Marxists
China Women's University (CWU) held the eighth school senior class of the "Young Marxist Training Program" on September 23. Vice President Sun Jianbei attended the training, and the class was presided over by Chen Lijun, deputy director of the student affairs department. All the trainees attended the meeting.
Zhang Xiufeng, dean of the College Section of Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, gave the first lecture. Zhang analyzed the current development of the Communist Party of China and the Communist Youth League, as well as the development of Communist organizations around the world, and suggested analyzing problems from the perspective of a comparative analysis. Zhang encouraged everyone to clearly recognize their ability and responsibility as a student cadre, and constantly improve themselves.
Professor Yang Mingjie, dean of the Taiwan Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, introduced the history of the Taiwan issue and the future trends against the backdrop of globalization. Yang analyzed the crux of the Taiwan issue with profound knowledge, rich historical facts and unique insight, so that students had a a detailed and accurate understanding of the issue and developed an international perspective and a reasonable, comprehensive and macroscopic view of the international issues.
Professor Chen Gang from the School of Journalism and Communication at Peking University, gave an in-depth analysis of the great changes in dissemination methods, lifestyles and models of production and communication in the era of big data, which creates a new digital living space for human beings. Li Sulin, president of the Students Union of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, introduced the reform and changes of her union and shared her experiences, achievements and difficulties in school activities.
After the training of theoretical knowledge, all the students had an outdoor bound professional training on September 24, effectively improving the comprehensive quality and teamwork ability of student leaders.
The "Young Marxist Training Program" at CWU is intended to cultivate excellent cadres with all-round development. Since 2009, CWU has been carrying out the quality training of trainees, mainly outstanding student cadres and core students. It upholds the tradition of enhancing student cadres' work and management abilities, strengthening their consciousness of service and responsibility, and has so far achieved good results.
