CWU Holds Symposium on 'Cultural Confidence and Strict Governance over the Party'
A symposium on strengthening stronger cultural confidence and ensuring full and strict governance over the Party was held on October 10 at China Women's University (CWU), in response to the in-depth study of Comrade Xi Jinping's instructions on cultural construction and Party building studies, as well as further strengthening cultural confidence and consciousness.
Since the convening of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the Central Committee with General Secretary Xi as the core leader has attached great importance to cultural construction and emphasized the key role of culture in the development of the country, pointing out the right direction for cultural construction in the new era.
Professor An Lingyu from the Department of Training at the China National School of Administration was invited to give a speech at the symposium.
An explained the inner connection between cultural confidence and strict governance over the Party, introduced the cultural foundation of the full and strict governance over the Party, and demonstrated the values of strategic deployment in the new era. An also elaborated the standards of being a qualified leader and scholar.
The report is of great significance to deepening teachers and students' understanding of Xi's series of speeches for all Party members, but also strengthening their cultural confidence.
Participants said they would apply the achievements they learned from the report to their educational practice and daily study, preparing well for the forthcoming CWU undergraduate evaluation work, speeding up the construction of the first-class women's university, and embracing the upcoming 19th CPC National Congress with excellent results.
In addition, an appointment ceremony was held at the event and professor An was awarded as part-time professor of CWU by its President Liu Liqun.
CWU leaders Liu Meng, Wang Jingxia, Sun Jianbei and all teacher and student Party members attended the symposium.
