CWU Holds Ceremony for New Postgraduates

China Women's University (CWU) held a welcoming ceremony for its new postgraduate students on September 13.

CWU Vice-President Liu Meng, leaders and teachers from the Graduate Office, and officials from relevant departments, as well as 55 freshmen, participated in the event.

Jiao Yang, director of the Graduate Office, presided over the event.

The ceremony kicked off with the national anthem. On behalf of all teachers and students of CWU, Liu Meng warmly welcomed the freshmen and made a speech at the conference.

Liu introduced the university's history, as well as developing process and characters of the MSW education development. She also placed her expectations on these freshmen, hoping they would build a sense of mission, cultivate a sense of responsibility and keep a sense of urgency.

Wang Xianmi, representative of , asked the newcomers to adhere to three things in their two-year postgraduate life, that is, an enthusiasm for learning, a pure heart and a strict self-management with lenience towards others.

Student Su Yafei shared her experiences as a student of the School of Social Work, as well as her plan for postgraduate life.

Jiang Yuyong, representative of the freshmen, read out the Commitments on Graduate Students' Compliance with Academic Ethics.

CWU leaders presented school badges to the new freshmen and the ceremony ended with the school song.
