CWU Holds Final Assessment Meeting of 2017 Summer Social Practice Activities

This summer saw China Women's University (CWU) carry out students' social practice activities, which involved 30 teams with a total of 200 students to conduct investigations and collect practical results all over the country.

After the end of these activities, the CWU's Committee of the Communist Youth League of China (CYL) held the final assessment meeting of the 2017 summer social practice to demonstrate the practical achievements, deepen the theme of the practice, and expand its social influence on September 19. Cadres of the CYL Committee attended the meeting and served as judges.

At the meeting, each listed team used their own professional knowledge to make a wonderful presentation, through videos, maps and manuals with a variety of elements. There are voluntary teaching activities in mountainous areas, sex education lectures, publicity activities on campus violence and domestic violence, classes for disabled people, caring for the elderly in community life, activities to protect and develop traditional culture and precise poverty alleviation activities. Participants made effective use of new media platforms, announced new achievements in practice timely, and attracted widespread attention from people from all walks of life. Some were even reported by local media. After the team appraisal, excellent students of overseas exchange group returning from Singapore reported the achievements of their social practice, which expands the horizons of students, and strengthens the exchange of culture between the two countries.

After careful evaluation, the judges selected 16 outstanding teams, 16 outstanding achievements, 10 sets of excellent pictures, 10 advanced individuals and 10 advanced workers. In the future, the school's CYL Committee will continue to carry out summer social practice activities, strengthen publicity so that more students can participate, and let the spirit of practice pass down among CWU's students.
