Li Mingshun Visits North Campus
Li Mingshun, secretary of CWU's Party Committee, inspected the North Campus on November 17, accompanied by Guo Chunhong, executive director of the North Campus, and all teaching faculty.
Li visited the classrooms and spoke to staff and students in order to learn about the classes first-hand.
Li listened carefully to Guo about the school's assessment and construction work. Guo also introduced the North Campus's teaching facilities, display window and teachers' lounge, as well as talent cultivation work for freshmen.
Li fully affirmed the school's great achievements in undergraduate education and evaluation work when he saw the display board of the professions descriptions and specific work flow. Li also highly praised the school's rich cultural atmosphere, teachers and students' freshness, and students' polite behavior.
Li made a summary at the students' dormitory after inspection. He spoke highly ofthe North Campus's achievements in the past 12 years. He said that the North Campus has already developed a fine tradition of arduous efforts and hard work, highlighted CWU's characteristics of undergraduate education and created a student-centered management feature.
Although the North Campus is far away from the main campus, it has implemented CWU Party Committee's deployments in a timely manner, showed a good working style and made extraordinary achievements under difficult conditions, Li said.
When it comes to the university's assessment and construction work, Li pointed out that the school should deal with the evaluation with an ordinary attitude and present the school's normal status and mental outlook to the assessment experts.
Li emphasized that relevant departments of the North Campus should comply with social development, carry out fresh thoughts and fulfill new requirements. In addition, they should follow President Xi Jinping's instructions in constructing socialism with Chinese characteristics, take correct political orientation as the soul of student affairs, establish a student-centered service system, lay a solid foundation for a standard administrative system and take students' recognition as the university's ultimate goal.
Li's wishes and demands encouraged teachers and students in the North Campus and pushed them to successfully finish the evaluation work and pilot project. Relevant leaders will implement the freshmen pilot program deliberately according to the Party Committee's requirements and constantly make their contribution to the development of CWU.
