CWU Teachers Visit University of Hull in Britain

A delegation from China Women's University (CWU) visited the University of Hull in Britain from November 27 to December 1 and participated in several seminars there.

The delegates included CWU Vice-President Wang Lian, deputy dean of CWU's School of Child Development and Education (SCDE), assistant director of the Teaching Affairs Office, assistant to the dean of the SCDE and director of the Teaching and Research Sector of CWU's Pre-school Education Department.

C. Michel, director of Hull's International Exchange Office; Ruth Butler, dean of Hull's Art Culture and Education School; Thamara Bulmer, head of the university's Pre-school Education Major and 11 other teachers received the delegation warmly.

During the seminars, the two sides exchanged opinions on several topics, including a double-degree program for students majoring in preschool education, a collaborative project for master's degree education, the feasibility of double degree projects for other majors and short-term academic visits of teachers.

Both sides had a full exchange of views on subjects including deepening cooperation and friendship in different fields. The seminars laid a solid foundation for further educational cooperation.

Accompanied by relevant teachers of Hull, the delegation also viewed Hull's basic conditions and resources such as libraries, teaching buildings, campus environment, students' dormitory and canteens. The delegation will introduce the basic situation, learning and living environment of Hull to CWU students when they return home.

This short-term visit effectively promoted the implementation of the double degree program for preschool education in the two universities, explored more forms of cooperation and actively promoted the internationalization of CWU.
