CWU Leaders Show Support for Students with Difficulties

 January 15, 2018

China Women's University (CWU) has always been caring for orphaned students, physically-impaired students and other special groups, and has made helping them a priority – in order to advance student care, moral education and implement ideological education.

On January 2, the school held a New Year symposium for students, with Secretary of the Party Committee Li Mingshun, CWU President Liu Liqun and members of the Standing Committee present.

The head of the Student Affairs Department, together with the secretary of Youth League Committee, also attended.

At the symposium, school leaders talked with eight such students, asked them in detail whether they had any difficulties in life and study, and urged relevant departments to offer them more help.

Li extended his appreciation to the students for choosing CWU as their school, highly praised their optimism and the fortitude they have showed in life, and encouraged them with a New Year message "What's past is prologue."

He also said that he hoped they could achieve progress with CWU together, adding fine qualities to the school. Liu wished students all the best by saying "What's past is memory, while experience is treasure."

"Only when we have dreams can we be empowered to forge ahead, and only action can make us have opportunities. I hope all of you can be a better version of yourself in 2018," Liu added. The president also encouraged the students to study hard and be good for the development of society and country.

"The symposium made us feel the warmth and happiness brought by our school community," the students said. "We will pay back the care and help of school, teachers and classmates by practical action."

On behalf of CWU, Li Mingshun and Liu Liqun presented students with New Year gifts and consolation money.
