Top Radio Presenter, CWU Students Give Show at Recitation Awards Ceremony

Ge Lan, Honorary Professor and alumna at China Women's University (CWU), headed a group of students to attend an awards ceremony held at the National Museum of Modern Chinese Literature on April 1 to honor outstanding artists in recitation.
Ge, an 85 year-old former announcer in China, led a group of 28 students from CWU to give a performance at the event, which is aimed at promoting the popularity of core socialist values, classical Chinese literature and recitation amongst the public.
During the gathering, organizers presented an award to Ge in recognition of her lifelong contributions to the development of China's recitation.
The senior professor has created a course about the recitation of classical Chinese literature at the CWU.
