A lecture to tackle the problem of procrastination amongst college students and help them better manage time was held by the Development Center for Mental Health affiliated to the Student Affairs Office in China Women's University (CWU) at its main campus and northern campus on April 17 and 24 respectively.

The themed lecture was part of a number of psychological and cultural activities held by the university from April to May to implement a circular released by Beijing Municipal Education Commission last month to mark the upcoming National Mental Health Day for College Students (May 25).

During the gathering, Zhao Jiaxu, an expert from the Psychological Counseling Center at Peking University Hospital, shared his college life with participants, emphasized the importance of managing time well, and presented them with suggestions about how to further optimize their personal time and carry out their academic studies.

Meanwhile, Zhao also interacted with attendees about strategies for academic learning, the arrangement of time and the cultivation of interests in academic studies.

For their part, attending students said that they would utilize what they had learnt to work out personalized plans for their academic studies, make necessary adjustments to their academic study strategies, and deal with procrastination.
