CWU Holds Training Event for Representative Assemblies of Faculty Members and Trade Union Members

China Women's University (CWU) held a training symposium on June 14 to make preparations for the reelection of its faculty member's congress and the representative assembly of trade union members.
Drawing upon the Trade Union Law and the Regulations on Faculty Members' Congress, Zhao Yanping, executive vice-president of the CWU Trade Union, gave an introduction of two representative meetings in terms of their basic components, the differences between them, and key tasks in the preparation stages.
Zhao talked about the election of delegates and leadership committees, the writing of proposals and meeting reports, conference coordination and relevant training in her speech.
Moreover, she pledged that the CWU Trade Union would try its utmost to serve the two representative conferences.
CWU Vice-President Wang Jingxia, who presided over the training event, said that the two assemblies are of great significance for the university to build itself into a top women's university and act on the concepts of reliance of faculty members in the management of schooling affairs as well as democratic administration.
Wang stressed that the university has attached great importance to the two congresses and that the Party branches should play a leading role in reelections at corresponding levels to achieve satisfactory results.
The training event drew the attendance of secretaries of Party branches, presidents and members of sub-branches of the CWU Trade Union.
