ACWF Senior Official Greets Teaching Staff at China Women's Uni, Children's Center

Huang Xiaowei, Secretary of the Leading Party Group of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), visited teaching personnel of China Women's University (CWU) and China National Children's Center (CNCC) in Beijing on September 11.

During the tour, Huang extended greetings and wishes on behalf of ACWF President Shen Yueyue, who is also Vice-Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, for the celebration of China's 34th Teachers' Day, which fell on September 10.

Huang listened to an introduction on CWU's past and development during a visit to the university's history display hall. She also talked with local teachers about their work and lives, and learned about the latest progress of recruitment and graduate employment.

Speaking with a group of teachers and students who were involved in producing the program "Women Voice News" in a TV studio at CWU School of Culture and Communication, Huang emphasized that they should devote even greater effort to the program and rally more support from women from every sector of society in response to calls from the Communist Party of China (CPC).

During an interaction with teachers and students at the CWU School of Law, Huang said the protection of women's rights and interests should begin from the source, and added that students are expected to make full use of their advantages and featured studies in relevant research and services.

Moreover, Huang also met with Ge Lan, 85, a famous former TV host and CWU professor, in the university's library. She conveyed her sincere respect to Ge for her continual involvement in talent training.

Huang also interacted with a young girl during the visit and drew a picture with several kids whilst she toured a kindergarten at the CNCC.

During a meeting with teachers, Huang called on them to closely implement the key instructions made by President Xi Jinping at the national education conference on September 10.

She urged them to work closely with parents to ensure the sound growth of pupils and to make greater contributions to national prosperity.

Deng Li, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, also attended the visits.
