Some 35 students from the majors of English and human resources management at China Women's University (CWU) got closely involved in the volunteer services at the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) held on September 3-4.
Chinese President Xi Jinping presided over the summit and delivered a keynote speech at the event, which drew the attendance of state leaders from across the entire African continent.
Students from the Beijing-based university excelled in the performance of their duties during the rehearsals held in the China National Convention Center, the four-day intensive drills, and the services in the Zimbabwean Embassy in China.
For their part, attending CWU students pledged that they would devote themselves to future volunteering activities with strong enthusiasm and a serious attitude in a drive to present a positive spirit and image of their school in front of the public.
