CWU Holds Awards Ceremony to Mark May Fourth Movement

The Communist Youth League (CYL) Committee at China Women's University (CWU) held a ceremony on May 4 to mark the 99th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement, sum up the progress of relevant work, and award collective role models as well as exemplary individuals.

Han Yan, secretary of the CWU's CYL committee, presided over the awards ceremony.

During the event, organizers presented awards to model units and individuals who had taken titles and trophies in relation to CYL work at national, municipal and university levels in 2017.

For their parts, honored units and individuals shared their experiences with the audience.

Speaking at the gathering, Zhao Hao, member of the Standing Committee of the CWU Party Committee, conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to young teaching staff and students upon the arrival of their festival, and extended her congratulations to those awarded.

Zhao called on them to become fully patriotic, work hard in academic studies, get closely involved in social practice, and make a firm observance of volunteering spirits in their future work and learning.

Those present at the ceremony included directors from the departments of organization, student affairs and the CYL Committee, along with staff workers in the sub-branches of the CYL Committees at the CWU's different schools and departments.
