CWU Flag-Raising Team Wins 1st Place in Latest Competition

The flag-raising team from China Women's University (CWU) took first place at the ninth season of the honor guard competition among college students in Beijing on September 15 at Beijing University of Technology.
The event was organized by the Beijing Association of National Defense Education in Universities to mark the 18th National Defense Education Day, which fell on the same day this year, strengthen the awareness of national defense amongst college students, and deepen their patriotism.
It drew the attendance of 38 formations of honor guards from Beihang University, Beijing University of Technology and many other Beijing-based universities.
During the contest, the judges give unanimous high praise to the CWU flag-raising delegation for its sound performance.
According to the CWU, its flag-raising team has become a well-regulated, strongly disciplined and semi-militarized organization amongst college students since its establishment in March 2013.
