CWU Holds Military Training for First-year Students

A ceremony was held by China Women's University (CWU) at a training center in the district of Changping in Beijing on September 17 to mark the opening of a military training for its first-year students.
Han Yan, director of the Military Department at the CWU, presided over the opening ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ren Cuiru, deputy secretary of the CWU Party Committee and secretary of the CWU Commission for Discipline Inspection, emphasized the importance of education on national defense and political and ideological work and urged them to deepen students' patriotism and sense of fulfillment in the military training.
Wen Jun, executive director of the private training center, called on trainees to be energetic and strong-minded and strive for excellence in the completion of various tasks.
Zhang Diandian, a freshman from the major of preschool education, gave a speech on behalf of first-year students.
Zhang pledged that they would work hard in the training, strengthen will power, nurture good habits, and present a positive image of young people.
