Zhao Hao, member of the Standing Committee of the CWU Party Committee, presided over the gathering and gave a speech.
Nine student-oriented Party sub-branches attended the assessment meeting. They have organized 11 such programs and held over 30 themed activities with the Party branches of primary schools, residential communities, villages, and sub-district offices in Beijing this year.
The topics of their cooperation in the Party building activity range from the protection of the rights and interests of juveniles and women to the promotion of gender equality, the design of packing bags for agricultural products, the sales of mulberry fruits, and efforts to beautify living environments.
For instance, the students' Party sub-branch in the Department of Women's Studies has worked with its counterpart at a village in the sub-district office of Datun to popularize the law on anti-domestic violence and national policies related to gender equality, launch a campaign to control smoking in public places, and help complete the population census work of its residents.
All attending Party sub-branches at the university made a presentation and reviewed the development of their cooperative programs with grassroots partners during the gathering.
In conclusion, the students' Party sub-branch from the Management School took first prize, while second prize went to the sub-branches of the School of Social Work and the School of Children's Development and Education. The Party sub-branches from the Department of Women's Studies and the School of Law won third prize.
Addressing the conference, Zhao called on all Party branches to put an emphasis on Party-building affairs, act on the spirit of Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, make full use of their academic advantages, and depend on the functions of Party branches and members in future work.
