CWU Organizes Education Training for Excellent Party Workers

China Women's University (CWU) held a training class for outstanding Party workers to enhance the effectiveness of grassroots Party organizations and improve the Party spirit of Party workers at the cadre training school of Zunyi City, Southwest China's Guizhou Province, on April 9-13.

Zhao Hao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the CWU, said at the opening ceremony that the university's Party committee has attached great importance to the education and training of Party members and Party cadres, promoting the Two Studies, One Action and organizing Party-spirits training and education activities in recent years.

"I hope we will make full use of the rich learning resources of the cadre training school, and learn the scientific and innovative theories of the Party to guide our practice and promote our work," Zhao added.

An Xiaohong, Director of the Party and government affairs office of the cadre training school, provided a brief introduction to Zunyi City and its revolutionary-themed characteristics, hoping the cadres would inherit and carry forward the spirit of the Long March and the Zunyi Meeting, which was held in 1935 during the Red Army's Long March.

The training session includes disscussions, classroom teaching and on-site visit, helping cadres learn the revolutionary history and traditions, and understand the spirit of the Zunyi Meeting.

A lecture on Zunyi Meeting and the spirit of the Zunyi Meeting was delivered to elaborate the historical background, process, content and historical status of the Zunyi Meeting. The cadres also visited the site of Zunyi Meeting and the Zunyi Meeting exhibition hall.

When visiting Huamao Village (in Fengxiang Town), a new rural construction demonstration site in Zunyi, the cadres learned about the tremendous changes brought about by China's efforts in poverty alleviation and development of rural construction.

The cadres were also inspired by Meitan County, a national urban and rural planning pilot county, where Tianjiagou Village, an agricultural structure adjustment demonstration site in the county, has achieved great development.

At the group study seminar themed on carrying forward the spirit of the Zunyi Meeting and being a qualified Party worker, the cadres spoke about how to build a grassroots Party branch in the new era and how to be an excellent Party worker.
