CWU Sends Choir to Celebration Activity Marking the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the PRC

China Women's University (CWU) held a ceremony on September 30 to encourage its choir to give a good performance at the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) at Tian'anmen Square on October 1.
The choir consists of 65 faculty members and students, who were selected after rounds of interviews since May. They have improved their singing skills, posture and physical strength with the guidance of relevant experts.

All the members of the choir took the oath of "staying true to our founding mission" and "paying tribute to the motherland with the most beautiful voices."

Li Mingshun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the CWU, and Liu Liqun, President of the CWU, attended the ceremony. Zheng Lei, Secretary of the Youth League committee of the CWU, presided over the ceremony. Wang Jingxia and Wang Lian, vice-presidents of the CWU, Zhao Hao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the CWU, and Ren Cuiru, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the CWU and Secretary of the CWU's Disciplinary Committee, also attended the event.
