Huang Xiaowei Gives Party Lecture at CWU

Huang Xiaowei, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, gave a lecture at China Women's University (CWU) on November 12.

The lecture was themed on the reform and development of the CWU. Huang reviewed the development of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the achievements of the People's Republic of China in the past 70 years. She also combines the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee with the development of the women's federations and the CWU.

Cai Shumin, Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF and Member of the Leading Party Members' Group of the ACWF, also attended the lecture.

Huang reviewed the history of the CPC and its mission. She urged that teachers and students of the CWU should "stay true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind," striving for the happiness of the Chinese people and the revitalization of the Chinese nation.

She also looked back at the development of the women's federations and the CWU, which reflects the significant achievements in Chinese women's cause led by the CPC. "We should fully play the unique role of the women's federation and the CWU, adhere to and perfect the socialist system with Chinese characteristics, push forward modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity and promote gender equality and the all-round development of women.

Huang said that the reform of the CWU is an inevitable requirement of strengthening the education and training of the officials of women's federation and women officials as well as a "must do" adaptation for the reform and development of higher education in China and the realization of sustainable and healthy development of the CWU. She hoped the teachers and students can understand the meaning of the reform.

She called on the participants to learn from Huang Wenxiu, a late woman official who devoted her life to poverty-alleviation work

She gave high appraisal to the achievement of the education campaign of "Stay True to Our Original Aspiration " made by the CWU.

Li Mingshun, Secretary of the Party committee of the CWU, hosted the lecture.
