China Women's University (CWU) held the First Forum on Family Building in the New Era and the Fourth Seminar on Family Discipline in China in Beijing on December 7-8.

A group of officials of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and women's federations at all levels, as well as experts and scholars from institutions of higher learning and research institutes, discussed key social issues covering family civilization, family education, domestic services and family research at the forum.

Compared with the previous sessions, this year's seminar attached greater importance to the new demands, expectations, conditions and challenges in China's family building.

It strived to integrate the theoretical research achievements on family discipline with the work of women's federations and promote socialist core values in families.
