CWU Holds Meeting Summarizing Education Campaign

The China Women's University (CWU) held a meeting summarizing the campaign with the theme of "staying true to our founding mission" on January 13.

Cai Shumin, Deputy Head of the leading group of the "staying true to our founding mission" education campaign of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), member of the Leading Party Members' Group and Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, delivered a speech during the meeting.

Cai fully affirmed the results attained by the CWU in the education campaign. On behalf of the leading group of the ACWF, Cai outlined the clear requirements for implementing the speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the meeting of summarizing the "staying true to our founding mission" campaign in Beijing on January 8, 2020, and for consolidating and expanding the achievements of the education campaign.

She said the CWU's Party building work has improved substantially through the campaign, which provides a strong organizational and discipline guarantee for various tasks of the university.

The ACWF attached great importance to implementing the campaign with the theme of "staying true to our founding mission" in CWU, Cai emphasized.

The Party Committee of the CWU should carefully study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the meeting summarizing the ducation campaign and consciously unite thought and action in line with the spirit of the speech, she said.

The Party Committee of the CWU should also study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, deepen self-reform, focus on main tasks and talent training, and make the good experience and practices formed in the campaign into long-term mechanisms, Cai said, adding that the university should strengthen and improve the Party's overall leadership and implement the results of the campaign in all areas and aspects of the university's management.

Cai called on the university's faculty and students to take the campaign as a new starting point, further deepen self-reform, and continue to train women cadres and improve the education quality.

Li Mingshun, Secretary of the  Party Committee of the CWU, gave a comprehensive summary of the university's education campaign of "staying true to our founding mission," which includes strengthening theoretical studies, conducting in-depth investigations, taking responsibility and fulfilling missions, and implementing reform. He also introduced the university's results, understanding, and experience in carrying out the campaign.

Li noted that the CWU will resolutely implement the requirements of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Leading Party Members' Group of the ACWF, promote university reform, implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC, run the university according to law, and enhance the effectiveness of university governance.

He stressed that the Party committee of the CWU will adhere to the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the meeting summarizing the campaign themed "staying true to our founding mission," and will make efforts to consolidate and expand the education results.

The current study of the campaign is coming to an end, but the "staying true to our founding mission" thematic education will never stop. The university should normalize and continue self-reform to consolidate the results of the campaign, strengthen the university's Party building, and stay true to its founding mission of educating people for the Party and cultivating talents for the country, she stated.
