Woman Anti-Epidemic Fighter Gives a Lecture to Students of CWU

Miao Miao, head nurse of Beijing Hospital and role model in the battle against COVID-19 epidemic, was invited by China Women's University (CWU) to give a lecture to the students on March 11.
Miao shared her stories in the battle against the COVID-19 in her lecture. After the epidemic outbreak, she volunteered to support Wuhan City, Central China's Hubei Province. She saved lives at ICU wards for more than two months. The participating students actively interacted with Miao and expressed their respect for her and all the medical workers in the anti-COVID-19 battle.
Zhao Hao, Deputy Secretary of the Party committee of the CWU, expressed her respect for medical workers like Miao for their spirit which features benevolence, putting people's lives first and sacrifice, as well as their firm ideals and convictions and deep patriotism. Zhao explained the great spirit of combating the COVID-19 epidemic based on Miao's experience.
Zhao also praised CWU students for their sense of discipline, voluntary spirit and active participation in epidemic prevention and control. She encouraged them to learn from role models like Miao, carry forward the great spirit of combating the COVID-19 epidemic and contribute to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Wen Yueqian, a student majoring in network and new media, said that she shed tears several times while listening to Miao's anti-epidemic experiences and she had a better understanding of the great spirit. Cai Chaoyue, a student majoring in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, expressed admiration for Miao and all the medical workers' hard work and dedication.
