CWU Holds Seminar on Construction of New Liberal Arts

To implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his inspection of Tsinghua University, China Women's University & ACWF Executive Leadership Academy (CWU) held a seminar on April 30 to promote the construction of new liberal arts.
At the meeting, Zhang Qingguo, an official of the Department of Higher Education Department under the Ministry of Education, suggested the CWU to focus on the women's work and the country's demands for cultivating women talents and trainings the staff of the women's federations, promote the innovative development of new liberal arts and improve the quality of education in an all-round way.
The participating experts shared their thoughts and experiences on the construction of new liberal arts.

Liu Liqun, President of the CWU, expressed her gratitude to the leaders and experts, adding that building new liberal arts is the common mission of all liberal arts colleges and universities. Liu believes that the seminar will motivate the CWU to achieve high-quality growth and facilitate the layout and innovative development of the school's disciplines.

Li Mingshun, Secretary of the Party committee of the CWU, pointed out that the experts' speeches provided a clear direction for the school's new liberal arts construction. Li also stressed that the concept of innovation should by upheld and the foothold of serving the development of women and children and the building of families should be stick to when constructing new liberal arts.
