Mao Fuzhi, who ran a business in Shanghai, returned to her hometown of Zhenghe County, Southeast China's Fujian Province, in 2018.
Mao contracted land and established a standardized agricultural demonstrative base for growing high-quality grapes in Xingxi Township of the county.
While focusing on the development of smart agriculture, Mao have offered jobs to impoverished and low-income households in the village to help them increase income.
"I majored in agricultural machinery. I hope to put what I have learned into practice and expand the scale of grape cultivation to help more villagers get jobs and escape poverty," said Mao.
