The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and the People's Government of Shaanxi Province cohosted the Silk Road on Fingertips — 2023 Silk Road Women's Forum on November 16. The women's forum held in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, was an important side event of the Seventh Silk Road International Exposition and the Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation between East and West China.

More than 150 participants from 22 countries had friendly and candid exchanges on their stories of the Belt and Road Initiative, contributing women's wisdom and strength to advancing high-quality development of the Belt and Road cooperation and building together a community with a shared future for mankind. The 2023 Silk Road Women's Forum Initiative was adopted at the forum.

Lin Yi, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, and Zhang Xiaoguang, Vice-Chairperson of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the women's forum and delivered speeches. Other distinguished speakers included: Bulgantuya Khurelbaatar, Chairwoman of Social Democracy-Mongolian Women's Association of the Mongolian People's Party and Minister of Labor and Social Protection; Anyin Choo, Guyana's Ambassador to China; Oliver Wonekha, Uganda's Ambassador to China; and Smriti Aryal, Country Representative of UN Women in China.

Prior to the 2023 Silk Road Women's Forum, ACWF held the China-Africa Women's Forum, the China-Central Asia Women's Development Forum, and the China-ASEAN Women's Forum, all part of a series of events to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. The shared theme of those events was "Pool Women's Strength for Belt and Road Cooperation."
