The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), on June 13, held a meeting on studying, publicizing and implementing the guiding principles of the compilation of excerpts from discourses by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on work related to women and children, as well as the work of women's federations.

Shen Yueyue, ACWF President, noted the publication reflects General Secretary Xi Jinping and the CPC Central Committee care for women and children, and attach great importance to the cause of women and children, and to the work of women's federations.

Shen urged cadres of women's federations, at all levels, to comprehensively understand the core principles, rich connotations and practical requirements of Xi's important discourses, and to uphold the guiding principles of Xi's important discourses in enhancing the high-quality development of women and children's cause in new era, and on the new journey.

Huang Xiaowei, Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, said the book is the latest theoretical achievement of combining the basic principles of Marxism on women and children with China's concrete reality and fine traditional culture. She called on women's federations' cadres to enhance their political ability, thinking ability and working ability, through studying the guiding principles of Xi's important discourses, and to carry out work effectively and always forge ahead in the direction guided by General Secretary Xi Jinping.
