He Yuqing livestreams a local event in Wuying Village on the border between south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and southwest China's Guizhou Province, Feb. 14, 2024. In 2007, Wu Xinren, a 28-year-old Miao ethnic youth, ended his ten-year working life in a city and returned, with his 22-year-old wife He Yuqing, to his hometown Wuying Village, a Miao ethnic-minority hamlet that nestles snugly in the towering mountains stretching across the border between south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guizhou Province.

Since then, Wu and his wife have attempted to start there a business ranging from farming, transportation to running grocery and home-stay as well as selling local specialties.

Their cultural life also flourished as their business gained them a better living condition. Over the years, they have witnessed the development of the village towards rural revitalization. [Xinhua/Huang Xiaobang]
