On May 10, two days before National Disaster Prevention and Reduction Day, many regions in China conducted various activities, to help primary and middle school teachers and students improve their awareness of the importance of promoting children's safety. Children were taught how to avoid various dangers (including fire, earthquakes and traffic accidents), and how to respond when they face such dangers. Seen here, a firefighter teaches a student, from Chengde Experimental Primary School, in Chengde, a county in North China's Hebei Province, how to use a lifebuoy to avoid drowning. [VCG] |
