 February 15, 2025

The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) on January 21 launched a three-year campaign, to promote the development of women's federations within new economic and social organizations, and within new employment groups.

Huang Xiaowei, Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, attended the launch ceremony, in Beijing.

The campaign is aimed at improving women's federations' ability to guide, organize and serve women in new types of economic and social organizations and among groups in new forms of employment.

Huang said women in new types of economic and social organizations and among groups in new forms of employment, have played important roles in promoting economic and social progress, innovating social governance, and providing public services.

By the end of 2024, more than 530,000 women's federations had been established within 1.25 million new economic and social organizations, and new employment groups.

During the ceremony, Zhang Dongmei, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, briefed attendees about the campaign.

The ACWF and women's federations of 31 provincial-level regions, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, released their special QR codes. By scanning the codes, women can learn information about policies relevant to women's rights and interests, and they can receive access to various services, including legal aid, healthcare and family education guidance.

Some of the women representatives of new economic and social organizations, and new employment groups, shared how they made personal achievements, through hard work, and how women's federations provided heartwarming services to women in their fields.
