CWU Successfully Holds 2015 Trade Union Training Course for Full and Part-time Members

In order to improve knowledge about and awareness of the Trade Union, and help it better serve staff, China Women's University (CWU) ran its 2015 Trade Union Training Course for full and part-time employees on the theme of "Promoting the Chinese Spirit, Practicing the Party's Mass Line" from June 5-8.

Around 40 full and part-time leaders of the Trade Union participated in the training which was jointly held by the Talents Development Training Center of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), along with the Trade Union itself, the Personnel Office and the Publicity Department.

At the inauguration of the training course, Cao Yanpeng, vice-president of the Executive Leadership Academy delivered a speech, introducing the features of the course and the training development. Zhao Yanping, vice-chairperson of the Trade Union introduced the specific requirements of its three parts: "Correct learning attitudes", "Obeying the rules" and "Keeping team spirit". Zhao Hao, director of General Office hosted the ceremony.

By visiting memorial monuments and observing their surroundings, the learners were able to sympathetically get a feel for the authentic situations and the hardship that people experienced before them. Many learned a lot from the videos they were shown and were impressed by the stories of those from the past. The special lecture enabled the learners to contemplate relevant subjects from a historical perspective, helping them to deeply understand the spirits and values of the Red Flag Canal.

Through the training, the participants had known a lot about the spirit and inspiration the Red Flag Canal had brought them in modern times. They learned to stress the principles of practice and research, and try to solve problems based on specific situations. As faculty members of the CWU, the attendees were expected to "be bold in innovation, be diligent and selfless in contribution and responsible for their obligations", according to organizers.
