CPC Names 11 Women on Draft List Honoring 100 Role Models of Reform, Opening-up

Wang Ying, from the Hui ethnic group and a CPC member, was born in the city of Bazhong, southwest China's Sichuan Province, in November 1961.

Wang was member of the Standing Committee and head of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of Nanjiang County Committee of the CPC before her death from lung cancer in November 2008.

Wang strictly adhered to disciplinary inspection and supervision principles and rules, upholded the authority of the Party's codes of conduct and national laws, and dedicated herself to providing the public with high-quality services and improving ties between government employees and the public during her lifetime.

Her stories have been adapted into TV series and drama, which have won popular response from the public.

In addition to being selected as one of top national workers in China's disciplinary inspection and supervision organs, she has been posthumously presented with National Outstanding CPC Members and the National March 8th Red-Banner Holders award.
