Yu Liufen, a CPC member, was born in the city of Panzhou, southwest China's Guizhou Province, in August 1969.

As a Party chief at the villages of Yanbolian and Yanbo in Panzhou, Yu has been elected as a delegate to the CPC National Congress for three consecutive times.

Yu has made a coordinated effort in Party-building, the cultivation of talented personnel, the development of the rural economy, and the completion of her task to lift more people out of poverty since she took the post in 2001.

Under her leadership, local people have built cemented roads, constructed drinking facilities, and managed collective business ventures. The former debt-plagued village has become a well-known affluent model village.

Meanwhile, the average annual income per capita for local residents has risen from less than 800 yuan in the past to 18,600 yuan up till now.

Yu has been presented with National Outstanding CPC Members, the National March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetters, the National Endeavor Award for Poverty Alleviation and many other honors in the past few years.
